Though a Landscape Architect by profession, Marcin has been involved in photography since early childhood.
Given an old Russian Smena 8M as a 10 year old, Marcin’s enthusiasm for photography quickly grew into a lifelong passion. He spent his teenage years
in the red glow of his mom’s basement-turned photo lab, and hasn’t looked back.
In the last few years, Marcin has spent all of his spare time satiating
both his passions for photography and travel by heading off to remote
locations around the globe, cameras in hand, to try to capture the spirit
of places and people he visits. Though he shoots digital with flair,
his real obsession is the unassuming, plastic
Holga
, which hearkens back to his childhood love of the Smena.
Marcin currently resides in Warsaw with his fiancée, dog and ever-growing collection of plastic cameras.
All of the work exhibited on this site was shot on 6x6 films with Holga 120S.
